Under 12s Town Centre Circuit Ride
Cycling is a great way to have fun while exercising and meet new friends at the same time.
Show off your cycling skills in Andover Town centre, or if you are new to cycling then come and have a go and you will quickly learn some new skills. We have really friendly coaches who will help you as you pedal around our town centre circuit, being cheered on by everyone watching.
Cycling is very good for your health and this fun event also includes a medal and drink for all starts and finishers...it’s not a race so you can cycle as many or as few laps as you want to.
Don’t have a bicycle? Then let us know before and we will arrange to have one ready for you at the start.
Join us in Andover Town centre, for the start outside the Guildhall at 10.00am on Sunday morning 30th July.
Happy Pedalling!! See you on the start grid!!
More information
The Under 12s ride at the Andover Cycling Festival gives youngsters the opportunity to try cycling on a closed cycling circuit in the town centre. Parents can also feel secure knowing that the circuit is closed off from traffic and pedestrians and they can cheer on their children as they pedal round laps of the circuit.
This is not a race, but a chance to enjoy a group activity in on a safe circuit, meeting friends on the start line and making new friends as they pedal round the laps. When a rider wants to have a rest they can simply pull aside and stop at the designated start/finish rest area – overseen by coaches from the experienced Andover BMX Club.
Andover Cycling Festivals objectives are to encourage active participation in group activities. Cycling promotes a healthy activity for physical well being,
Entry Fee is £4.00 – which can either be through clicking on the entry link here, or entry on the day is also possible – but in all cases a parental consent form will need to signed as the event is being run under British Cycling jurisdiction
Plenty of cafes on the circuit to get drinks from while the event is going on. Water provided for all Under 12s at start and finish.
Look forward to seeing you on the day
